The Caledonian Engineered Jura Oak Matt Lacquered Click Lok is a practical engineered wood floor designed for homes that want the look of traditional oak flooring with a softer, more natural finish. Unlike single plank boards, this is a 3-strip floor, meaning each large board is made up of three smaller oak strips attached together. That layout creates a more classic and detailed appearance across the room while still offering the stability and convenience of a larger engineered board.

Each board measures 207mm wide, helping the floor feel more open once installed, while the 3-strip pattern adds movement and detail so the layout feels less plain than oversized single planks. This style works especially well in family homes, apartments, and spaces where you want a more traditional wood floor appearance.

The surface is finished with a matt lacquer, which helps protect the wood while keeping the overall appearance softer and less reflective than a standard lacquered floor. The lower sheen allows more of the natural oak grain and texture to remain visible, helping the floor feel more authentic and less polished.

This is mixed grade oak, so you’ll see natural knots, grain movement, and colour variation throughout the boards. Those natural details stop the repeated 3-strip pattern from looking too uniform and help create a more realistic wood floor appearance once fitted.

The floor is built using an engineered multi-layer construction, designed to handle changes in temperature and humidity more effectively than solid wood. This improved stability makes it suitable for conservatories and water-based underfloor heating systems, provided the surface temperature does not exceed 27°C. Bathrooms and areas exposed to standing moisture should still be avoided.

The 2.5mm real oak wear layer allows the surface to be sanded and refinished at least once during its lifespan. While most homes are unlikely to need this for many years, it gives the floor longer-term durability compared to thinner veneered products.

Installation uses a Click Lok system, allowing boards to click together rather than requiring full glue application between each plank. For best results, manufacturers recommend using a tapping block and rubber mallet to ensure all joins are fitted tightly together. The floor is usually installed as a floating floor over a 3mm underlay, helping improve sound reduction, insulation, and protection from small amounts of subfloor moisture. For water-based underfloor heating, a 4mm compressed rubber underlay is recommended.

This is a fixed length product, and each pack may contain starter boards to help you stagger your layout for a more natural finish.

When ordering, allow approximately 10% extra for cuts and wastage, plus an additional 5% for grading variation.
