The Edmonton Solid Grey Oak Brushed & Lacquered flooring combines contemporary grey tones with the durability and authenticity of real solid oak. The cooler colouring gives the floor a more modern appearance, while the brushed texture helps retain the natural character and grain detail of the wood.

Each board measures 203mm wide, helping to create a spacious and open feel throughout the room. The flooring is supplied in fixed 1800mm lengths, providing a more consistent and balanced layout once installed. Some packs may also include starter boards to assist with staggering the flooring pattern naturally.

This is a finger jointed solid oak floor, meaning each board is formed from smaller sections of oak joined together to create long, uniform planks. This manufacturing process helps achieve consistent board sizing while making efficient use of natural oak materials.

The floor features a brushed and lacquered finish. Brushing removes some of the softer grain from the surface of the oak, creating subtle texture and helping highlight the natural grain patterns beneath the grey colouring. The lacquered coating then seals the surface, helping provide added protection against everyday wear while simplifying routine cleaning and maintenance.

Installation should be carried out by bonding the boards directly to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive. Because solid wood naturally responds to changes in temperature and humidity, the flooring performs best in rooms where environmental conditions remain stable.

Solid wood flooring is not suitable for underfloor heating, bathrooms, or areas exposed to excessive moisture and fluctuating humidity levels.

When ordering, allow approximately 10% extra for cuts and wastage, plus an additional 5% for natural grading variation.
