The Edmonton Solid Smoked Grey Oak Brushed & Oiled flooring combines soft smoked grey colouring with the authentic character of real solid oak. The blend of warm smoked tones and cooler grey shades creates a balanced contemporary look, while the brushed and oiled finish enhances the natural grain and texture of the wood.

Each board measures 105mm wide, creating a more traditional narrow plank appearance once installed. The slimmer board width gives the flooring a timeless hardwood look that works well in both classic and modern interiors.

The flooring is supplied in mixed lengths ranging from 300mm to 1200mm, helping create a more varied and natural installation pattern throughout the room.

The floor features a brushed and oiled finish. Brushing removes some of the softer grain from the oak surface, creating subtle texture while helping highlight the natural grain detail beneath the smoked grey colouring. The oil finish penetrates the wood to enhance the natural appearance and preserve a more authentic feel underfoot.

As a solid wood floor, the boards are manufactured entirely from oak throughout their thickness. This allows the flooring to be sanded and refinished multiple times during its lifespan, helping preserve the appearance of the floor for many years.

This is mixed grade oak, meaning natural knots, grain movement, and colour variation form part of the floor’s appearance. These natural details help create an authentic and characterful finished floor.

Installation should be carried out by bonding the boards directly to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive. Because solid wood naturally reacts to fluctuations in temperature and humidity, the flooring performs best in rooms where environmental conditions remain stable.

Solid wood flooring is not suitable for underfloor heating, bathrooms, or areas exposed to excessive moisture and changing humidity levels.

As this flooring features an oiled finish, the surface is not fully sealed against spillages. Liquids should therefore be cleaned promptly to help maintain the appearance and condition of the wood over time.

When ordering, allow approximately 10% extra for cuts and wastage, plus an additional 5% for natural grading variation.
