Glanwell Engineered White Distressed Oak Oiled 220mm x 15/4mm Wood Flooring
The Glanwell Engineered White Distressed Oak flooring features a lighter tone with a textured, worn look, giving it a more characterful and lived-in appearance.
Each board measures 220mm (22cm) in width, helping to create a more open feel, while the 15mm thickness includes a durable 4mm solid oak wear layer. This wear layer allows the floor to be sanded and refinished up to three times, although this is typically not required for the first 10–15 years in most domestic environments.
Engineered construction offers improved resistance to temperature and humidity changes compared to solid wood, making it suitable for use in most rooms in the home, including conservatories. The only exception is bathrooms. It is also compatible with water-based underfloor heating systems.
Finish: Distressed and oiled, with a textured surface for a more aged appearance. The oil enhances the natural grain but is not fully resistant to spillages
Construction: Engineered design for enhanced stability in changing conditions
Installation: Tongue and groove profile, designed to be glued together and typically installed as a floating floor
Grading: Mixed grade oak, featuring natural knots and variation typical of oak flooring
This flooring is usually installed as a floating floor, with a 3mm underlay laid beneath the boards. This helps protect against minor subfloor moisture while also improving sound insulation and heat retention. A 4mm compressed rubber underlay is recommended where underfloor heating is present.
The oiled finish is not impermeable, so care should be taken with spillages. This product comes in mixed lengths.
When ordering, we recommend allowing 10% extra for wastage and cut-offs, plus an additional 5% to account for natural grading variation.

Please note, an oiled finish isn't impermeable and might not be ideal for spill-prone areas
Distressed flooring will have natural knots and imperfections, and may contain filler.
Each pack contains boards of mixed lengths, offering a unique and dynamic installation pattern for a beautiful, natural-looking floor.
Each board is manufactured with a tongue and groove profile, so each board can simply be glued together.
This product has a mixed grade, so it will contain some knots, which is typical for natural wood.
This engineered oak is typically installed as a floating floor with a 3mm underlay on the subfloor, providing protection from dampness and serving as a sound barrier and insulator.
Due to the stability of our engineered flooring products laying the flooring in rooms heated with water based underfloor heating is not a problem. Our 4mm Compressed Rubber Underlay is suitable for water based underfloor heating.
Please keep in mind that the industry standard includes 10% for wastage and cut-offs, and 5% for visual grading. Make sure to factor this into your calculations when ordering.
Each board has a 4mm layer of wood veneer that enables you to sand down and refinish the surface up to 3 times.
Engineered wood flooring like this is very resilient to temperature and humidity changes, making it suitable for most rooms, including conservatories. The only exception is the bathroom.
