Each board measures 190mm wide, making this a wide plank flooring option that helps maximise the feeling of space within a room. The generous board width reduces the number of joins across the floor, creating a cleaner and more seamless appearance while allowing the natural features of the oak to become a standout design element. Boards are supplied in mixed lengths, helping to achieve a more authentic and natural-looking installation.

The floor is finished with a high-quality oil treatment, designed to penetrate the wood and enhance the natural grain rather than covering it. This allows the oak to retain its authentic appearance and tactile feel while bringing greater depth and warmth to the colour of the timber. For the best results, boards should be tapped into place using a tapping block and rubber mallet to ensure a tight and secure fit. The floor is typically installed as a floating floor over a 3mm underlay, helping improve sound insulation, heat retention, and protection from minor subfloor moisture. For installations over water-based underfloor heating, a 4mm compressed rubber underlay is recommended, with floor surface temperatures maintained below 27°C.

As this flooring features an oiled finish, the surface is not completely sealed against moisture. Spillages should therefore be cleaned promptly to help protect the wood and maintain its appearance. One of the advantages of oiled flooring is that small areas of wear can often be repaired locally without refinishing the entire floor.
