The Highgate Engineered Natural Oak flooring has a natural oak appearance, with a brushed and matt lacquered finish that highlights the grain while giving the surface a more subtle look.
Each board measures 190mm (19cm) in width, making it a wide plank option that can help create a more open and spacious feel. The 15mm thickness includes a 4mm solid oak wear layer, allowing the floor to be sanded and refinished up to three times. In most domestic environments, this is typically not required for the first 10–15 years.
Designed with an engineered construction, this flooring helps manage changes in temperature and humidity, making it suitable for most rooms in the home, including conservatories. It is not suitable for bathrooms. It can also be installed over water-based underfloor heating systems.

- Grading: Mixed grade oak, so natural knots and variation will be visible
This flooring is typically installed as a floating floor, with a 3mm underlay laid beneath the boards. This helps protect against minor subfloor moisture while also improving sound insulation and heat retention. A 4mm compressed rubber underlay is suitable when installing over water-based underfloor heating.
For best results, the boards should be tapped into place using a tapping block and rubber mallet to ensure a tight fit. Boards are supplied in mixed lengths.
When ordering, allow 10% extra for wastage and cut-offs, plus an additional 5% to account for natural grading variation.

- This product has a mixed grade, so it will contain some knots, which is typical for natural wood.
