Black laminate flooring is made of synthetic materials and mimics the look of a black solid wood floor. It consists of multiple layers of materials, including a high-density fibreboard core, a photographic layer that resembles the desired flooring style (in this case, black), and a protective top layer to provide additional durability. These layers are then backed with a balancing layer to protect the floor and the subfloor, creating a sturdy structure. The result is a cost-effective flooring option that is easy to install and maintain.
With so many different finishes and textures to choose from, our black laminate flooring can complement many interiors. From monochrome designs to ultra-modern kitchens or period-styled living rooms. Whatever your style, black laminate flooring is an excellent choice for those who want to add a touch of sophistication to their interior design.
Laminate flooring is also ideal for high-traffic areas and households with pets and children due to its durable qualities and low maintenance. With the proper care, your black laminate flooring can maintain its beautiful finish for years to come.
While laminate flooring is durable and can withstand a lot of wear and tear, it can still scratch under certain conditions just like any other floor. The extent to which it scratches will depend on several factors such as the level of traffic, the thickness of the board, and how you care for your laminate.

Laminate flooring can withstand small spills as long as they are cleaned up quickly, but it is not waterproof. As flooring experts, we do not recommend placing laminate flooring in areas with high moisture or humidity levels such as bathrooms or basements. However, if you are looking for a floor that can cope with high levels of water and moisture, LVT flooring is ideal.
Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring is a great option for bathrooms as it is waterproof and resistant to moisture and humidity. It is also durable, easy to maintain, and comes in a wide variety of designs and styles. So, if you're looking for a flooring option that can handle the demands of a high-moisture environment, take a look at our LVT range.
To prevent your newly installed flooring from warping, you must acclimate it. This process involves allowing the floor to adjust to the temperature and humidity levels in your home. For the best results, we recommend acclimating your laminate flooring for at least 48 hours by leaving it in the room where it will be installed without disturbing it. Always lay the boards flat while acclimating, otherwise, you could do more damage than good.
If you're looking for a way to add some depth and texture to your flooring, black laminate with an embossed finish is the perfect choice. The embossed finish adds a subtle texture to the surface of the flooring, giving it a more realistic look and feel. The texture produced during the embossing process will follow the pattern in the design image, creating an extremely convincing replica. This type of flooring is perfect for high-traffic areas, as the embossed finish helps to hide scuffs and scratches.
For a more elegant and sophisticated look, black laminate flooring with a silk matt finish is the perfect option. This type of flooring has a smooth, matte finish that gives it a subtle sheen and a luxurious feel. Whilst not as glossy as some other finishes, our silk matt will reflect some light, whilst also hiding some scuffs. Thanks to being both silk and matt, this finish will suit both modern and traditional interior design styles.
If you’re looking to create a modern or industrial design, black laminate flooring with a stone effect finish is an excellent choice. This type of flooring has a realistic stone texture and appearance, giving it a natural and rustic look.
Black laminate flooring with a wood grain finish is a classic and timeless flooring option that never goes out of style. This type of flooring has a realistic wood texture and appearance, giving it a warm and inviting look. It's perfect for creating a cosy and comfortable atmosphere in any room, without the cost of a solid wood floor.
In order to add visual interest and a sense of realism, all of our laminate flooring options are textured. This also helps to make the photographic layer much more convincing. Gone are the days when laminate was smooth, and the imagery was blurry. Now you can have a solid wood dupe for a fraction of the cost, and no one needs to know. We won’t tell if you don’t.
Thicker boards tend to be more hard-wearing and provide a slightly improved sound reduction performance. Therefore, you may want to consider choosing thicker boards in upstairs apartments or bedrooms. Thicker boards are also more suited to higher traffic areas, where they can withstand greater use. However, they are often more expensive to show for this, so ultimately it comes down to budget and personal preference.
Plank flooring is typically laid in a traditional perpendicular pattern and comes in a wide range of different colours and finishes, allowing you to get creative with your interior design.
Herringbone flooring is a style of parquet flooring that can add visual interest to any space. However, it is essential to note that herringbone flooring must be installed with this style in mind. If laid incorrectly, the click system will not work. Each pack will contain left and right boards to help with the installation should you choose to fit the floor yourself. If you require any further advice after purchasing, please call our team who will be more than happy to help.
Our laminate flooring uses a glue-free, interlocking fitting system, known as the click system. Our click system allows laminate flooring to be laid relatively easily on top of a floating floor. If you’re thinking of installing the floor yourself, you should consider choosing a floor with the click system. This will allow you to simply push, drop, and click the boards into place for a quick and easy installation.
Click systems suddenly become much more difficult to install when the subsurface has not been prepared correctly. If the subsurface is uneven, this can lead to your flooring becoming damaged. Levelling underlay can fix this problem and provide you with an even surface for your flooring installation.
Underlay is a layer of material that goes between the floor and the subfloor. Not only does it even out the subsurface but it also helps with sound absorption, insulation, and improved underfoot feel.
