What Laminate Flooring Colours Are Available?

We have a wide range of laminate flooring colours available to suit all styles and homes, ranging from warmer beiges, browns and coffee colours, through to contemporary, cool greys, smoked and white.

We even stock some striking black laminate floorings.

Which Laminate Flooring Colours Are Most Popular?

Traditionally, our natural finishes are most popular, including Natural, Natural Oak and Golden colours. These replicate the effect of wood grain, which has been proven to work with most decor schemes over the years, providing a floor that will look great for years to come.

At the moment, monochrome colours are on trend, offering a striking, impactful finish that works with any contemporary home.

Is Laminate Flooring Waterproof?

Whilst some laminate floor brands are ‘water resistant’ none are entirely waterproof, which is why we advise against using it in heavy water areas such as bathrooms and wetrooms.

It can be used in kitchens, with extra care. However, we always recommend referring to manufacturers guidance prior to fitting.

Is Laminate Flooring Hard Wearing?

Yes! Thanks to its composition and protective top layer, laminate flooring is incredibly hard wearing. It’s often considered one of the most hard wearing floor types on the market.

Is Laminate Flooring Scratch Resistant?

Whilst laminate flooring will be resistant to most small scuffs and the wear and tear of daily life it won’t protect 100% against deeper scratches which breach the surface.

Generally, laminate flooring is a hard wearing floor that’s suitable for any busy household.

Can I Repair A Laminate Floor?

Whilst laminate flooring can’t be sanded and refinished like solid wood, or engineered wood flooring, it can still be repaired.

Colour matched repair kits are available for most flooring colours and finishes, which can ‘retouch’ any blemishes or minor damage and get it looking like new.

Laminate Flooring Thickness

We have a range of laminate flooring in varying thicknesses, generally, from 7mm to 12mm.

Whilst flooring thickness is usually a case of personal preference, thickness choice should be considered in certain situations. For instance, when using laminate with an underfloor heating a thinner board may be necessary.

As well this, consider using thicker, 10-12mm boards in rooms where sound reduction is necessary such as bedrooms or upstairs apartments.

Laminate Flooring Installation Methods

Click System

The majority of our laminate features a mess free, easy to use Click System. This system involves two profiled edges which ‘click’ and push together, locking tightly, to provide a secure, long term fit.

Our customers choose Click System laminate as it’s glue free, requires less preparation than other installation methods and, thanks to its ‘floating floor’ fitting, is much easier and quicker to fit than other flooring alternatives.
