The Milano Solid Golden Oak Handscraped is a 17.5mm solid oak floor with warm golden tones and a textured surface. It is designed for homes that want the feel of real hardwood with a more traditional, characterful finish.
Each board is 203mm wide, giving the floor a broader and more open appearance once installed. The boards are supplied in fixed 1800mm lengths, and packs may include starter boards to help stagger the layout for a more natural finish.
This is a finger jointed solid oak floor, which means each board is made from smaller sections of oak joined together. This helps create consistent long lengths while reducing waste during production.
The handscraped finish gives the surface a gently uneven texture. It adds character underfoot and helps small marks blend in more naturally over time.
As a solid wood floor, it can be sanded and refinished multiple times during its lifespan. However, it is not suitable for underfloor heating, bathrooms, or rooms with large changes in temperature and humidity.
Installation should be done by bonding the boards directly to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive. Because this is real wood throughout, the room conditions should stay stable before, during, and after fitting.
This is mixed grade oak, so knots, grain variation, and colour differences will be visible. These natural details are part of the floor’s character.
When ordering, allow around 10% extra for wastage and cuts, plus an additional 5% for natural grading variation.
