The Sawbury Engineered Whitewash Oak parquet flooring is a lovely option if you want to keep a room feeling light, fresh and open. The whitewashed oak tones give it a softer look than traditional oak, while the brushed texture and matt lacquered finish help it feel natural and full of character rather than overly polished.
Each board measures 150mm (15cm) in width and 14mm (1.4cm) in overall thickness, including a 3mm real oak wear layer. That 3mm top layer means the floor can be sanded and refinished up to 2 times, which helps you keep it looking good for years to come.
- Finish: Brushed and matt lacquered to bring out the grain detail while keeping the surface looking natural
- Construction: Engineered parquet boards with a 3mm real oak wear layer
- Installation: Click Lok system, with boards clicked together and typically bonded to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive
- Grading: Mixed grade, so some knots and natural colour variation will be part of the overall look
Because it is engineered, this parquet flooring is designed to handle changes in temperature and humidity better than solid wood, making it suitable for most rooms in the home, including conservatories. It is not suitable for bathrooms, but it can be used with water based underfloor heating.
The brushed finish helps lift the natural texture of the oak grain, while the matt lacquer adds a practical layer of protection without taking away from the softer, more understated appearance of the floor.
When ordering, it is best to allow 10% extra for wastage and cut-offs, plus a further 5% for visual grading.

- Each board has a 3mm layer of wood veneer that enables you to sand down and refinish the surface up to three times.
- The flooring has been finished with a brush to create a textured feel.
- Engineered wood flooring like this is very resilient to temperature and humidity changes, making it suitable for most rooms, including conservatories. The only exception is the bathroom.
- Due to the stability of our engineered flooring products laying the flooring in rooms heated with water based underfloor heating is not a problem.
- Each board is manufactured with a click system profile, so each board can simply be clicked together. Manufacturer’s recommendation is to tap the planks on the edge with a tapping block and rubber mallet to make sure they are clicked tightly together.
- This Parquet Wood Floor would usually bonded to the sub-floor using an adhesive to provide a flexible and stable surface..
- This product has a mixed grade, so it will contain some knots, which is typical for natural wood.
- Please note, an oiled finish isn't impermeable and might not be ideal for spill-prone areas
- Please keep in mind that the industry standard includes 10% for wastage and cut-offs, and 5% for visual grading. Make sure to factor this into your calculations when ordering.
