The Sawbury Engineered Unfinished Oak PRIME parquet flooring is a great choice for anyone looking for a cleaner, more refined oak look. With its prime grade appearance and unfinished surface, it gives you the freedom to create the final look you want once the floor has been fitted, whether that is something natural, matt, or more richly toned.
Each board measures 90mm (9cm) in width and 18mm (1.8cm) in overall thickness, including a 4mm oak wear layer. The 4mm top layer means the surface can be sanded and refinished up to 3 times, giving the floor long-lasting durability in busy domestic spaces.
Because it is engineered, this parquet flooring is designed to handle changes in temperature and humidity well, making it suitable for most rooms in the home, including conservatories. It should not be used in bathrooms, but it is suitable for use with water based underfloor heating.
As this product is sold unfinished, customers are advised to apply a finish for protection after the flooring has been laid. This also gives more flexibility if you want to match the parquet to other features in the room.
When ordering, it is best to allow 10% extra for wastage and cut-offs, plus a further 5% for visual grading.
