The Stockholm Engineered Smoked Distressed Oak flooring features deeper, smoked tones with a textured, aged finish, giving the boards a more rustic and characterful appearance.

Each board is 220mm (22cm) wide, which can help give rooms a more spacious feel, while the 15mm thickness includes a 4mm solid oak wear layer. This wear layer allows the surface to be sanded and refinished up to three times, although this is typically not required for the first 10–15 years in most domestic environments.

Engineered construction helps manage changes in temperature and humidity, making this flooring suitable for most rooms in the home, including conservatories. It is not suitable for bathrooms. It can also be installed over water-based underfloor heating systems.

• Finish: Distressed and oiled, creating a textured surface with a more aged look. The oil brings out the natural grain but is not fully resistant to spillages
• Construction: Engineered design to improve stability in changing conditions
• Installation: Tongue and groove boards, designed to be glued together and typically fitted as a floating floor
• Grading: Mixed grade oak, so knots and natural variation will be visible

This flooring is typically installed as a floating floor, with a 3mm underlay placed beneath the boards. This helps with sound insulation, heat retention, and offers some protection against minor subfloor moisture. A 4mm compressed rubber underlay is suitable when installing over water-based underfloor heating.

As this is an oiled product, the surface is not impermeable, so care should be taken with spillages. Boards are supplied in mixed lengths.

When ordering, allow 10% extra for wastage and cut-offs, plus an additional 5% to account for natural grading variation.
