The Milano Solid Carbonised Bamboo flooring combines rich carbonised colouring with the clean and contemporary appearance of natural bamboo. The darker tones help create warmth and depth within the room, while the consistent grain structure gives the floor a smooth and uniform overall look.
Each board measures 96mm wide, creating a more traditional narrow plank appearance once installed. The slimmer board width helps create a neat and detailed floor layout that works well across both modern and classic interiors.
The flooring is supplied in fixed 960mm lengths, helping to create a more balanced and consistent appearance throughout the installation. Packs may also include starter boards to help stagger the flooring pattern naturally.
The floor features a carbonised bamboo finish, which gives the bamboo its richer and darker colouring while maintaining the clean and uniform appearance associated with bamboo flooring. The smooth surface helps create a sleek and practical finish that works well in a wide range of interior styles.
Bamboo flooring naturally offers a more consistent grain pattern compared to traditional hardwood flooring, although some natural tonal variation between boards will still be visible across the floor.
As a solid bamboo floor, the boards are manufactured from solid bamboo throughout their thickness, helping provide a durable and long-lasting flooring surface suitable for everyday use.
This is mixed grade bamboo, meaning some natural colour variation and tonal differences form part of the floor’s appearance. These natural variations help maintain the authentic look of the material.
Installation is typically carried out by bonding the boards directly to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive. Because natural flooring materials can react to environmental conditions, the flooring performs best in rooms where temperature and humidity levels remain relatively stable.
Solid bamboo flooring is not suitable for underfloor heating, bathrooms, or areas exposed to excessive moisture and fluctuating humidity levels.
The darker carbonised finish makes this flooring particularly well suited to interiors wanting a warmer and more contemporary natural floor appearance while still maintaining a clean and uniform overall look.
When ordering, allow approximately 10% extra for cuts and wastage, plus an additional 5% for natural grading variation.
The Milano Solid Carbonised Bamboo offers a fantastic combination of contemporary darker colouring and the sleek, consistent appearance of natural bamboo flooring. The narrower boards help create a more traditional layout while the carbonised finish adds warmth and depth to the room.
