Is White Laminate Flooring Easy To Clean?

While dirt will show on white laminate flooring, it is easy to clean. Regular sweeping or vacuuming, followed by occasional mopping with a damp mop and mild cleaner, will keep it looking clean and fresh. It is important to avoid excessive moisture, as standing water can seep into the floor, damaging the wood layer.

Does White Laminate Flooring Show Scratches Easily?

Laminate flooring features a protective wear layer that enhances scratch resistance. While this layer is durable, we recommend furniture pads or protective felt under heavy furniture to minimise the risk of scratches.

Can You Install White Laminate Flooring In Moisture-Prone Areas Like Bathrooms Or Kitchens?

While laminate flooring is resistant to moisture, it is not completely waterproof. We do not recommend installing white laminate flooring in areas prone to excessive moisture, such as bathrooms, kitchens, or laundry rooms. Laminate planks can swell and warp from prolonged exposure to water. For this reason, we recommend LVT flooring in these rooms as it does not suffer from water damage.

Can You Refinish White Laminate Flooring?

Unlike hardwood flooring, you cannot sand or refinish laminate flooring. Laminate flooring consists of a printed photographic layer protected by a clear wear layer. The wear layer is exceptionally durable and will last when maintained correctly.

Can You Install White Laminate Flooring Over Existing Flooring?

You can, provided the subfloor is in good condition, clean, and level. However, you must follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines and recommendations to ensure a proper and long-lasting installation.

Silk Matt

Silk matt therefore balances the properties of silk and matt. The result is a versatile and beautiful finish that allows the details of white laminate flooring to stand out.

Handscraped

A handscraped finish simulates the effect that a traditional craftsman’s technique would have on the boards. The result is a wave-like reflection when the floor catches the light. While this finish fits right in with traditional décor, handscraped white laminate also offers a rare contemporary style.

Laminate Flooring Thickness

Board Thickness

Generally speaking, board thickness is a case of personal preference, however, thicker boards, whilst usually more expensive do tend to be more hard-wearing and provide a slightly improved sound reduction performance, which should be considered in upstairs apartments or bedrooms, for example. As well as this, thicker boards are usually more suited to higher traffic areas, where they can withstand greater use.

Click System

Our white laminate wood flooring features a click system installation. Laminate planks effortlessly click and lock together without messy adhesives or fasteners. Underlay

Uneven surfaces make Click Lok flooring much more difficult to fit and keep in place and can increase the likelihood of your flooring getting damaged. Underlay is a layer of material that goes between the floor and the subfloor, levelling out the surface. Underlay also provides additional benefits such as sound absorption, insulation, and improved underfoot feel.
