Coffee Oak

At Flooring 365, we supply the very widest range of engineered wood flooring, which includes both oak and walnut. Oak is the most popular variety of coffee engineered wood flooring, largely due to its versatility, but also because it gradually changes colour over time.

As it’s made from real wood, our floors improve with age. Oak becomes more golden and rich in colour, especially in the first few months that your coffee oak engineered wood flooring is installed.

As the coffee coloured oak is exposed to light, it reacts and gradually changes colour becoming richer. We therefore recommend that you don’t use a rug in the first few months of having your new floor to avoid noticeable variations in colour around the rug outline. As the first few months are the time in which your floor undergoes the most colour change, it’s fine to use a rug later.

Coffee oak is a rich and beautiful choice of engineered wood flooring that works in a huge range of different spaces. If you’re interested in our coffee oak engineered wood, then why not order a free sample on a few of your favourite options? This allows you to view the floor in your own home and see for yourself just how beautiful it is!

Coffee Walnut

As well as oak flooring, we also have a range of walnut engineered wood in our coffee wood flooring collection.

Walnut is naturally darker in colour than oak which makes it the perfect wood flooring for a deep and rich coffee tone. It’s a softer wood than oak, but a lacquer finish gives the ultimate protection for areas with heavy foot traffic. It has a more open grain, which creates a different pattern to oak flooring. The colour of each engineered wood plank varies, which creates a dynamic and stunning floor.

Hand Scraped Coffee Oak Flooring

Hand scraped coffee oak flooring is a fantastic choice if you’re looking to highlight the beautiful texture of your real wood flooring. Hand scraped flooring is created by manually scraping the floor to bring out the patterns in the grain, emphasising knots and highlighting the beauty of the natural wood pattern.

Choosing hand scraped coffee flooring is a fantastic way to develop the character of your space. Every board has its own unique pattern which brings life to your floor. The coffee colour only emphasises this more as it adds to the warmth and richness of the final look.

Hand scraped coffee oak flooring is a fantastic choice. You could try our Fyfield Elite Coffee Oak for a more golden coffee colour, or if you’re after something darker this Hillingdon Antique Coffee oak flooring is stunning. If you want a thicker floor thickness for your hand scraped coffee oak floor, then the Cressington hand scraped coffee comes in 20mm thickness which provides extra heat insulation, sound insulation and longevity.

Other finishes

We have a massive range of coffee wood flooring available so you can get the finish you want. A lacquer finish provides the ultimate protection for your new floor so is best for areas with heavy foot traffic. If you want less of a shine, but the same high level of protection, then you could choose a matt lacquer. There are other choices of oiled - which is a great protection layer than seeps into the wood - brushed, hand scraped and more.

If you’re struggling with all the choices, then we would love to help! You can use our live chat feature, give us a call or, if you’re nearby, visit our Huddersfield showroom to chat face to face with one of our experts.
